Texas Round-Up

The results are in from the McCrea Outdoors Texas Round-Up!

Back in September we announced the McCrea Outdoors Texas Round-Up.
Now in November we are thrilled to share the results with you!

The winner of the hunt, Andrew Pastusic, and his lovely wife, Brandi, arrived at the McCrea Outdoors lodging on Sunday, November 15th. There they would meet up with owner, Kenny McCrea, and await the arrival of Dave Watson from Mathews TV and Jeremiah Ross from HuntingResource.com. (Dave and Jeremiah would share a rental car from the San Angelo airport and were fashionably late due to either poor directions or poor following of directions; which one depends entirely upon who you ask.) The hunt began early Monday morning. Andrew would be paired with Kenny McCrea himself with Dave and Jeremiah being paired with McCrea Outdoors guides Jarrod Holliday and Cody Bahlman respectively.

Plenty of surprises and sightings of monster Texas white-tail were in store for this group during the three days in camp. The group would enjoy good, down-home cookin' prepared daily by Bud Preidecker and share stories and fellowship around a mesquite campfire each evening. The entire story will unfold on the upcoming season of Mathews TV (airing on Outdoor Channel). So, we just can't give out all of the details now. Suffice it to say, however, that it was a time of firsts, fellowship, and dreams coming true. To just leave it at that would likely be considered a form of torture to many. So, to avoid such accusations we present to you the following photos from the adventure below.

I will say that's Brandi's first deer and Andrew's first archery buck! Stay tuned to the HR Forums as well as the show schedule on the Mathews TV web site for more details of when the episode will air. Andrew, Jeremiah, and Dave will likely each post their own mini-versions of the hunt on the forums as well. (Jeremiah's is now online in his blog.) So, join today and stay in the know.

Special thanks to ALL at McCrea Outdoors for making the entire experience
truly memorable and Dave Watson for his continued friendship and support.
