Blogging Meets the Outdoors:
Your Own Little Corner of the WWW
So,
if you're like many, you likely hadn't even heard the word "Blog"
until about a year ago when one of your children mentioned having one.
You still likely hadn't a clue what it actually was though. Well, for
those still lagging behind,
it's simple. A Blog is really nothing more than an online journal.
However, instead of writing your daily life experiences in a little
book
that you
keep hidden under your pillow like a pre-teen trying to hide their
first
kissing encounter from their parents or other siblings, you actually
want the whole world
to read your HR
Outdoors Blog.
Think about it, if you manage to take
or catch that trophy of a lifetime, you want to tell the story and you
don't want
it being buried under pages of other message forum posts before it's
even a day old. The beauty of a blog, unlike a message forum,
is that all of the entries there are yours alone. Think of it
as your own
little corner of the Internet to post pictures and write and rant about
all of your
outdoor
experiences from hunts to the adventures behind the adventure in simply
getting ready for your trip of a lifetime. Of course, others can read
right along and even post comments if you wish. Now, I know what you
may be thinking... "Who is interesting enough that I would want to read
their blog?" Hey, don't knock it 'til you've tried it. Some of our
bloggers have been featured writers in local and national publications.
The caliber of material
blogged is really up to the individual along with control of the
publishing itself. Best of all,
since HuntingResource.com
strives to offer the most well integrated community experience
within the outdoor industry, if you're already a member of HR then you
are already able to start your own HR Blog today.Read or Start Your Own HR Blog Today
2009 Deer Contest:
Hunting Resource Deer Contest
The annual HR deer contest will be coming to a close this month. We know that a handful of locations in the U.S. still have ongoing seasons and we're trying, as usual, to allow everyone the full opportunity to turn in an entry. That said, with turkey seasons just around the corner, we anticipate a winner will be named very soon. So, consider this the "Final Boarding Call" for entries.
